DAY 1 — Venice
Welcome to Venice! Our local rep will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Free time today to relax or begin discovering this unique city.
DAY 2 — Venice Tour
With your own private guide , discover the rich history of Venice. Visit the Doges palace, the center of power of the Venetian Republic, St. Marks Square with its beautiful architecture and famous cafes, and the imposing St. Marks Basilica. The afternoon is free to enjoy on your own, perhaps take a boat to Murano to see the talented glass artisans.
DAY 3 — Venice / Florence
Depart magical Venice today for Florence. Our rep will escort you to the station for your trip to Florence on a high-speed train. AS you arrive in Florence our reps will meet you at the train to transfer you to our hotel. This afternoon, enjoy a walk around Florence or take in some shopping.
DAY 4 — Florence Tour
Discover Florence the cradle of the renaissance on a private guided walking tour that will include: The Duomo with Brunelleschi’s masterpiece dome, the Baptistery with its famous bronze doors adorned with scenes from the bible by the artist Pisano, Santa Croce church, the Ponte Vecchio with its gold shops and ending at the Accademia Gallery where you will find the awe-inspiring statue of David. The rest of the day will be free for you to enjoy on your own. Perhaps take in the Uffizi Gallery
DAY 5 — Florence / Chianti / Siena
Today enjoy a full day of sightseeing as you make your way through the Tuscany to your accommodation in the countryside. You will tour the beautiful Chianti wine region with its charming towns and great vineyards. Visit a wine cellar and taste some of the vintages. Stop in the city of Siena where a local guide will show you the medieval history of this great city. Continue to your accommodations for the evening.
DAY 6 — Siena / Orvieto / Sorrento
With a private driver and car you will journey from Tuscany to Sorrento. On the way you will make a very pleasant sightseeing stop in the beautiful town of Orvieto in the region of Umbria. Visit the gothic cathedral and take in the charm of this hilltop town steeped in Etruscan history. Continue to Sorrento where you will have the evening free to explore on your own.
DAY 7 — Sorrento
A free day to explore this charming coastal city , or perhaps take the short ferry ride across to the idyllic Isle of Capri
DAY 8 — Amalfi Coast Drive
A wonderful day with a private driver on the famous costal road known as the Amalfi coast. You will be amazed at the breathtaking views along the road as you visit the towns of Positano, Ravello and Amalfi. Return to Sorrento at the end of the day to enjoy free time on your own.
DAY 9 — Sorrento / Pompeii / Rome
Departure for Rome in the morning with your private car and driver. A sightseeing stop at the archeological park of Pompeii is included. Here with a local guide you will see the ruins of a full Roman town frozen in time after being buried by the ashes of the erupting Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. Continue to Rome for a free evening.
DAY 10 — Vatican Tour
Today with your private guide you will skip the big line ups to get into the Vatican Museum for your tour. You will visit the amazing rooms in this museum that houses some of the most important artifacts. You will also be guided into the Sistine Chapel to view Michelangelo’s masterpiece ceiling. Continue to the Basilica of Saint Peter, and the famous square of Saint Peter. The rest of the day you will be free to visit Rome on your own.
DAY 11 — Ancient Rome Tour
Step back in time as your guide recounts the stories of the Ancient Romans while visiting the main historical sites. Your tour will include the Colosseum site of gladiator battles, the Roman Forum, center of government, religion and social activities of ancient Rome. You will also visit Saint Peter in Chains church, the Circus Maximus and see the view from the Palatine hill. The afternoon will be free for shopping or sightseeing on your own.
DAY 12 — Arrivederci Italia
After check out from the hotel , our representative will pick you up for your private transfer to the Rome Airport for your departing flight.
