DAY 1 — Arrival in Piedmont
Upon your arrival in Turin or Milan airport you will be greeted by our representative and will continue to your accommodation in Piedmont countryside. The rest of the day is free for you to relax.
DAY 2 — Alba and Barolo
Today we will explore the town of Alba and the Langhe region home of the Barolo and Barbaresco wines. Your day will begin with private guided walking tour of Alba. The homeland of white truffles, chocolate and sought-after wines. Once called the “One Hundred Towers Town”, famous for the International White Truffle Fair which occurs each year in October. In the afternoon continue to Barolo, the village where the “king of wines” was first produced in the XIX century. Visit of the historic cellars of a renowned Barolo producer, and learn the techniques employed in the production of this refined garnet red-colored wine. Wine-tasting of Barolo other local wines will follow the visit. Continue to the village of Barbaresco with the imposing squared tower built in the late XI century to protect the village from foreign invaders. At the end of the tour return to your accommodation.
DAY 3 — Asti and Monferrato
Today you will explore the Southern East area of Piedmont your private driver escort will take you to the beautiful town of Asti and the Monferrato region.
Your day will begin in Asti with a private walking tour of the city center to discover medieval towers, churches, baroque buildings and old squares during your walking tour. Visit the collegiate church of San Secondo, the Gothic Cathedral of Santa Maria and continue with a walk along Corso Alfieri, the main street, where you may also stop and visit the Crypt of Sant’Anastasio. On Wednesdays and Saturdays you can enjoy the lively weekly market.
In the afternoon you will continue to a the village of Canelli where you will have the opportunity to visit the famous and unique cellars called the “Underground Cathedral of wine” followed by a tasting of the local wines of the region. Continue your tour to Acqui Terme famous and popular for the beneficial properties of its springs from the time of the Romans who regarded its waters as among the best in the whole Empire. To see: the Cathedral with its triptych of the Madonna di Monserrat, and the cloisters of the Rectory with its Roman remains, the Civic Archaeological Museum and “La Bollente” fountain the symbol of Acqui Terme from the base of which warm water springs.

DAY 4 — Departure
This morning after check out meet your driver for your transfer to Turin airport to catch your departing flight.
