Emerald Coast - Sardinia
This beautiful Island boasts wild rugged landscapes, mountains and 2000 km of spectacular sandy beaches. It has a mysterious history which one can see with its thousands of “nuraghi” which are ruins of strange stone structures from the Bronze-age between 16th and 15th centuries BC.
Today the Island is perhaps most known for its famous resorts on the Emerald Coast. Proto Cervo named after its shape as deer antlers is the epitome of luxury vacations. Its hotels, yachts, sail boats and expensive shops make it an international mecca for the well healed traveller. The Old Port is considered the best-equipped touristic port in the Mediterranean Sea.
For mountain lovers the Gennargentu area of the Island is perfect. This area is a beautiful natural area with diverse plant and wildlife.
