Going to Italy has always been on my wife’s bucket list so for our 40th anniversary we decided to go. Over the next weeks and months, through numerous phone calls and emails, we detailed and designed our trip with Luca. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, offering suggestions and alternatives when some of our plans took us too far from the overall route. Finally the trip was planned and completed. Luca took care of all of the details, even getting our tickets for a concert in Verona which my wife had found out about on the internet.
All of the transfers, tours etc. were on time and all of the contact persons were very visible. Therefore we had no stress about travelling in an unknown area or finding the contact person to assist us.
The tour guides were knowledgeable and flexible in accommodating any requests. We especially enjoyed Chiara who was our guide for the four days in the Tuscany area, she was super.
We got to see everything that we had planned on and enjoyed some of the historical elements of the areas that the guides were able to share with us.
The trips between cities by car were very enjoyable and the drivers were able to share knowledge about the areas as we drove by them.
Two highlights were, after our wine tour of the Amarone winery the driver took us to a small town where we had a fabulous lunch in a small family run restaurant. Also the lunch in Tuscany in a Villa was amazing.
We enjoyed all elements of the vacation.
We would highly recommend Road to Italy and Luca to anyone who may be considering a trip of this nature to Italy
